1. I get no hot air from the air blowers. 2. I still get chilled air. 3. I can vary the air flow, ie: fan still works. I've had a look about the forum and people seem to be mentioning the FSU ( final stage unit ), although this seems to be more appropriate when the A/C has a mind of its own. My only issue is that I get no hot air from the blower. AC pressure test NOT informative diagnostic in E60/E61. The troubleshooting by pressure measurement described in the following is only possible on A/C systems with uncontrolled compressors. This includes among others: E53. E46M47 up to 09/2001. The air coming coming through the HVAC is very warm, as if the HVAC is on full heat mode. I think this could be a stuck blend valve, where it pulls 100% air through the heater core or the HVAC control has broken and gone insane. Rear vents only blows cold if MAX AC is set. Rear vents does not have dial to change temps in the back. Even in idrive you can set driver and passenger. It happens in sync mode too. The replacement of the "resistor" (actually a controller) and the motor is a deep dive into the console assembly. Let the car idle and turn the AC on on minimum temperature setting (maximum cooling) with the fan blowing with medium power. Let the car like that for about 4-5 minutes and start observing the intervals at which the compressor engages and disengages. Going on down to the "Evaporator Control (compressor control)" section shows this: ON:A/C button ON and evaporator temperature > 4°C (depending on the outside temperature) and coolant temperature < 117°C and terminal 30 at control unit > 9.7 Volt.
